THE GENERAL PATTON
MEMORIAL MUSEUM
The General Patton Memorial Museum was established in 1988
to honor all veterans.
Every year for Veterans Day we have a big celebration. All veterans
enter free that day and all outside entertainment is free for everyone.
We have two rooms of memorabilia. You start with the Civil War and work
your way to the Iraqi Freedom. We have on loan from MWD the large map
weighing 5 tons, made in the 1920’s.
We show a 26 minute movie which talks about desert training, General
Patton’s life and WWII. There is a tank yard with a Sherman Tank
and Stuart – both from WWII and others. The gift shop has many
books on Patton. There are T-shirts, hats, mugs, coins, toys, magnets,
patches,
pins and more.
WEST COAST VIETNAM VETERANS WALL
This wall will be honoring all veterans who served in Vietnam. To honor
all those who served there, we have built the West Coast Vietnam wall
at the General Patton Memorial Museum.
Attention Vietnam Veterans - If you served in the military between
1959-1975 then you are a Vietnam Veteran and the General Patton
Memorial Museum would like your name etched into the black granite plaques
that make up the museums newest addition, the West Coast Vietnam Veterans
Wall.
